Camino Club: Balboa Park

Balboa Park > Florida Canyon > Balboa Golf Course > > Balboa Park

Experience one of San Diego’s most dynamic green spaces on the Camino Club: Balboa Park Walk! This 4.5-mile urban trail highlights both the park’s natural beauty and its hidden gems, offering a perfect mix of history, recreation, and community.

We’ll start near the Morley Sports Complex at the Balboa Tennis Club, where the energy of local players sets the tone for an active day. From there, the route winds through Florida Canyon, a peaceful escape tucked into the heart of the city, lined with native plants and scenic overlooks.

Our path continues past the Balboa Golf Course, where rolling greens stretch into the distance, and a quick stop at Tobey’s 19th on the Green makes for the perfect mid-walk refresh. We’ll then head toward the lively Grape Street Dog Park, one of San Diego’s most beloved off-leash areas, always buzzing with energy.

As the walk loops back, we’ll pass the Morley Field Disc Golf Course, a local favorite for casual recreation, before finishing where we began — back at the historic tennis club.

Whether you’re a local looking for a fresh perspective or a visitor eager to explore San Diego on foot, this walk through Balboa Park blends nature, community, and iconic city landmarks into a single unforgettable experience.
